Comparison of Ampco Pumps

Ampco Centrifugal Pumps

Sanitary centrifugal pumps are affordable, commonly used hygienic process pumps for transferring low-viscous fluids in food, dairy, and beverage applications. The motor rotates the pump impeller, making sure fluid transfer is safe and efficient. Common applications include product transfer, metering, tank filling and emptying, and clean-in-place.

Ampco Positive Displacement Pumps

Positive displacement pumps are commonly used in the food and beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries that involve viscous liquids containing fragile solids. Common applications include product transfer, metering, and tank filling and emptying. These pumps feature two or more lobes that rotate in opposite directions around parallel shafts in the chamber to move a liquid from the suction end to the discharge end. Since the two lobes never come into contact with each other, they allow for gentle operation and minimal product damage. This pump type comes in various rotor wing options, which allow for flexibility in both performance and product handling.
